Coronavirus Update, Sunday March 22

IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM STEPHEN & DR. NATALIE KATHER

After our Friday FaceBook LIVE video, we’ve been flooded with calls, emails and texts. We spent the weekend responding to these issues, helping people make important decisions and exploring ways to reduce risk for this terrible virus. Click here to view our video on COVID-19 prevention.

Here is Stephen’s update for Sunday March 22

  1. The Seattle area is the bellwether for the country because the virus has been circulating here since December. The first case was identified here in mid January, meaning that we are in the expansion phase of the pandemic, which other areas are in the exposure stage. I mention this because there is some hopeful news, suggesting that we are not going to see the explosion of cases and deaths that northern Italy is experiencing.

To date, Washington health practitioners have administered 30,875 tests. Of these, only 6% are positive.  So either they have been testing way too many non-symptomatic people, OR… this contagion is not as explosive as was feared.  Yes, the number of cases is increasing (we now have 2,000) but the fatality rate has stayed below 5%, with fully 90% of deaths in people > 60 years of age, and 50% occurring in the 80+ age group. All deaths are lamentable. I’m not making light of the human tragedy that we are witnessing. But we must remember that the most vulnerable are the first to succumb to any pathogen, and of the deaths occurring in the state of Washington, 40% were from a single nursing home in King County.

What does this mean for you and your family?

  1. Make sure your elderly are isolated physically, but not emotionally. Provide as much support as you can. Make sure they have their medications. Prepare wonderful meals for them, full of fresh vegetables and devoid of sugar. If necessary, leave the food in a box on their doorstep.  Load up their food with garlic and onions. Quercetin a flavonoid found in onions, red wine, green tea, apples and berries, has been shown to impair coronavirus infection rate in test-tube experiments. While we cannot assume the same thing happens when we eat quercetin, the effect was so dramatic that it is reasonable to think that taking quercetin can decrease your risk.  Since it is unlikely that there is any quercetin left on any store shelf, you can use onions and onion skin tea as good sources of this flavonoid.

Give them vitamin D; at least 10,000 iu per day

Give them DHEA, at least 50 mg/day.

DHEA can be of benefit in both stages of infection.  Studies show that it raises the germ-fighting power of saliva, ground zero for more than 90% of infections. In the second stage of coronavirus infection, DHEA can help moderate the cytokine storm and ameliorate the immune-suppressing effect of prednisone.

  1. Natalie’s clinic is focusing on making sure that people with other problems don’t clog up the hospitals. Her anti-viral strategy is laid out in our video, focusing on vitamin D, C, Vitamin A palmitate, quercetin, DHEA, medicinal mushrooms and plant-based anti-inflammatories.
  2. Please know that we are well-stocked with DHEA (Synergized DHEA for Men and Synergized DHEA for Women), clinically –proven plant-based anti-inflammatories (Joint Venture™) and a comprehensive Muti-Mushroom Immune Support called MMIS™. We’re making this available on Monday, March 23rd on both TheHealthySkeptics.com and My2048. Limit three per customer.
  3. And finally, check out our new video demonstrating the oxygen-delivery benefits of KYSO. We have no data on the use of this product in any disease state, but if a healthy 72 year-old can increase his blood oxygen from 95% to 99% in 20 minutes, that’s something to consider.

Onward!
